I already tested the RAM modules and the HDD and they worked good, I also tried to switch it on without RAM and the blinking pattern is the same, I thought it could be the Bios but the HDD had been cleaned time ago and all HP partitions has gone, so I looked for "flashing through USB" but the BIOS file on the product page is only a Windows installer, and beside this also when extracted and prepared on a USB no keyboard combination seems to have any effect. It happens in a up-to-date system as well as in a fresh clean windows 7 install, with no drivers except the one needed to make the usb wifi adapter work. Now if I try to switch it on it acts quite weird: Caps Lock and the small light above the Numpad blinks twice, then it reboots and after this they continue blinking nonstop. Same problem here: Random freezes (no BSOD, just frozen screen) All USB devices go off (mouse, keyboard, usb drives, etc but fans keep working), after some minutes, it reboots itself. The problem is with an HP HDX16-1040EL, that worked perfectly till some weeks ago when it suddenly didn't boot up anymore. Hello, I'm new on the forum since usually I prefer look around myself to find possible solutions but this time I'm quite lost so I decided to ask directly to the community for help.
